Holding an annual Horticultural Show offering a varied program of activities for all age groups and abilities. DBHS Works alongside groups, schools and other established organisations within the area helping to raise awareness of peoples social and physical needs, particularly recognising feelings of isolation, which may be felt by, new residents moving into our community as well as families who have lived here for generations. Bringing to the forefront issues of Community safety, Environmental improvements, Positive activities, Consultation with young people and the aged, Liasing with local authorities, Assist in identifying community and local service provider concerns and needs, Creating a Local Information point, supporting an initiative to tackle anti social behaviour by promoting positive community well being.
DBHS strives to encourage people of all age groups cultures and abilities to be creative and communicate within a socially inspiring environment in a diverse locality of culture and tradition DBHS endeavours to develop a sense of confidence, belonging, sharing and achievement. DBHS is much more than an elusive group of enthusiasts holding an annual show!
DBHS will continue developing Partnerships with affiliated groups, local schools and the local education authority by giving onsite entertaining informative talks and hands on demonstrations promoting the benefits of horticulture sustaining the ecology of our environment. DBHS is working closely with teachers and specialised information centres to ensure what we offer fits directly into the national curriculum.
